FAQ
What are the differences between the O4 Pro, VTX, and PNP versions?
O4 PRO Version: The premium "All-in-One" choice. It comes pre-installed with the latest DJI O4 Pro digital video transmission system, offering 4K/120fps onboard recording and ultra-low latency. Perfect for those who want the best cinematic quality.
VTX Version: Designed for pilots who already have their own FPV goggles. It includes the flight stack and a 5.8G 1.6w analog video transmitter but requires you to bind it to your existing gear.
PNP (Plug-and-Play) Version: The "stripped-down" professional choice. It comes without a radio receiver and a VTX. You will need to solder your own receiver (like ELRS or TBS Crossfire) to match your specific remote controller.
What is the recommended battery for this 2.5" Cinewhoop?
Regardless of the version, we recommend a 4S 650mAh - 850mAh LiPo.
Pro Tip: Use 650mAh for the Analog version to keep it ultra-light, and 850mAh for the O4 PRO to handle the extra power draw of the digital system.
Does this fpv drone come "Ready to Fly" (RTF)?
No, O4 Pro and Analog versions are BNF (Bind-and-Fly). You will need compatible FPV Goggles and a Radio Transmitter to fly. If you are a complete beginner, please ensure your controller protocol matches the receiver you select (e.g., ELRS 2.4G). Note: the battery also must be purchased separately.
Is the flight controller pre-tuned and ready to fly?
Yes! The C2501 comes with the F722 AIO flight controller and BetaFlight firmware installed, so you can take off in Horizon (self-level) mode right out of the box. For the smoothest performance, you can adjust PID and filter settings in BetaFlight to match your prop size and flying style.
Is it safe for indoor filming?
Absolutely. The full-wrap propeller guards are made of high-ductility polycarbonate. They not only protect your surroundings and people but also provide a "bump and go" resilience if you kiss a wall.
Is the O4 PRO compatible with my Analog Goggles?
No. The O4 PRO and Digital VTX versions require specific digital goggles. The Analog version is only compatible with analog receivers. Please double-check your headset compatibility before purchasing!
Can it carry a external action camera (like a GoPro)?
While this 2.5" fpv drone has high-KV brushless motors, it is optimized for "Naked" cameras or its internal O4 PRO recording. Carrying a full-sized GoPro (150g+) will significantly impact agility and motor heat. For the best experience, let the O4 PRO do the heavy lifting!
Does the O4 PRO version fly differently than the Analog version?
The O4 PRO version is slightly heavier due to the advanced cooling and camera hardware. While it offers the best image, the Analog version is the "lightest," giving you a bit more "punch" and agility during aggressive maneuvers. Both are pre-tuned for a smooth experience out of the box.
