Common Questions About FPV Drones
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout. We run discounts and promotions all year, so stay tuned for exclusive deals.
How long will it take to get my orders?
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
What's the difference between FPV drones and DJI camera drones?
The main difference lies in control and flight experience. Standard DJI camera drones feature auto-hovering, GPS stabilization, and assistance features designed for stable aerial photography; when you let go of the sticks, the drone stops in place. Droneer FPV (First-Person View) drones are flown in full manual (Acro) mode via FPV goggles. They offer complete freedom of movement, extreme speeds, and acrobatics, requiring continuous manual input without automatic positioning.
Should I buy a 2.5inch or 5-inch or 7-inch FPV drone?
It depends on your flying style and environment:
5-Inch FPV Drones (e.g., Droneer X501): The gold standard for freestyle, racing, and park flying. They offer the snappiest handling, high maneuverability, and quick recovery from sharp turns.
7-Inch FPV Drones (e.g., Droneer X701): Best for long-range cruising, mountain surfing, and carrying heavier payloads (like a full-sized GoPro). They provide excellent wind resistance and longer flight times but are less nimble in tight spaces.
What is the best FPV drone for beginners?
For beginners, we highly recommend a Cinewhoop (such as the Droneer C2501). Cinewhoops feature fully enclosed protective propeller guards, making them much safer to fly indoors or close to obstacles while protecting the frame during low-speed crashes. Starting your FPV journey in an FPV flight simulator with a real radio transmitter before flying a real drone is also highly advised.
How far can an FPV drone fly?
Flight range depends heavily on your choice of video transmission (VTX) and radio control link. With our high-end DJI O4 Pro HD Series, you can expect incredibly stable, crystal-clear digital video transmission extending several kilometers under optimal line-of-sight conditions. For maximum long-range radio stability, pairing your drone with an ELRS (ExpressLRS) receiver ensures your control link will easily outperform your video range.
What batteries are compatible with FPV drones?
Compatibility depends on the motor KV configuration of the specific model. Our performance freestyle and cinewhoop platforms are optimized for high-discharge LiPo or LiHv batteries (typically 4S or 6S setups with XT60 connectors). Please verify the recommended cell count (S) and capacity (mAh) on your specific drone’s product page to prevent voltage damage to the flight controller and ESC.
Can I use my existing radio transmitter?
Yes! If you select our PNP (Plug and Play) configuration, the drone arrives fully assembled without a built-in receiver, letting you solder on your own preferred protocol (such as ELRS, TBS Crossfire, or FrSky). If you purchase a version equipped with a DJI Air Unit, it can pair directly with compatible DJI Remote Controllers without adding an extra receiver.
Do you provide technical support after purchase?
Absolutely! FPV flying comes with a learning curve, and we are here to support you. Droneer provides dedicated after-sales technical assistance. Whether you need guidance on binding your radio transmitter, configuring Betaflight settings, or sourcing original replacement parts after a hard crash, you can reach our team via our contact page.
